The Reading exam that will be held during the English exam week will include Reading Comprehension. Please let your children answer it and send the answers in a separate sheet of paper via vademecum. Thanks for all your support.
CAUSE AND EFFECT
Read the following passage. Then read each question and choose the correct answer.
The Warthog
Warthogs may look like cartoon creatures, but they are real animals that live in Africa. Warthogs got their name from the many warts on their faces. The males have more warts than the females. These warts help protect the animals’ faces during fights.
A warthog sleeps in a burrow, or a small hole dug in the ground. Whenever it goes into the burrow, the warthog backs in. This alloes it to look outside for hungry lions and other animals that might eat it. When a warthog leaves its burrow, it runs out as fast as it can. That way, it is ready for any animal waiting for attack.
Sometimes a warthog lets a bird stand on its back. The bird eats pests that live on the warthog´s body. This helps the bird by giving it food. This helps the warthog rid itself of insect pests.
Warthogs often dig in the dirt. They do this because they eat grasses, roots, berries and bark. Their digging breaks up the dirt and mixes it with air. This helps plants grow.

Avisos semana 23 al 27 de noviembre. Inglès.
Estimados Padres de Familia:
Con el gusto de siempre los saludo, deseàndoles que pasen un excelente fin de semana.
Les mandè en vademecum un papel sobre una convivencia para los tres salones de segundo. Ojalà pudieran asistir todos, pues es para el bien de los niños, vamos a poder unificar a la generaciòn y los niños podràn convivir con los alumnos de los otros dos salones y ustedes podràn conocer a los demàs papàs. Estamos pidiendo una cooperaciòn de $100.00 pesos por familia, les pido que me la manden en un sobre cerrado con el nombre del alumno. Esto se aplicarà para pagar la renta de mesas y sillas, hielos y demàs gastos. Es 100% familiar. Se llevarà a cabo el pròximo dìa 28 de noviembre a las 13 hrs.( Ver mapa adjunto) Ustedes llevaràn comida y bebida para ustedes y si gustan compartir, què mejor.
La semana siguiente empezaràn los repasos para las materias de Español. Despuès seràn los exàmenes de español y en la tercera semana, los de inglès.
Han faltado muchos alumnos a clases por causa de enfermedad. Les pido que me apoyen para ponerlos al corriente y no se vayan atrasando para sus exàmenes.
Ya enviè en vademecum una circular con las fechas de exàmenes, si alguien no la recibiò, favor de solicitàrmela.
Estoy todavìa con las entrevistas de Padres de Familia. Los ùnicos dìas que yo puedo son los martes y jueves. Yo las programo con anterioridad, les pido de favor que si no pueden asistir, me avisen antes para cancelarla y poder dar esa cita a otras personas. Gracias por su comprensiòn.

AVANCE DEL 9 AL 13 DE NOVIEMBRE DEL 2009
Estimados Padres de Familia:
Reciban un cordial abrazo y deseo que este fin de semana esta lleno de descanso y muy buenos momentos.
Como esta acordado me comunico con ustedes para compartirles el avance de esta semana.
ESPAÑOL:
-La entrevista
-Palabras con b y v
Matemáticas:
-Lectura y escritura de cantidades de tres cifras.
Me gustaría pedirles su apoyo con la escritura de cantidades ya que en esta semana estuvimos practicando mucho pero pude darme cuenta que se confunden al escribir ciertas cantidades como son del veinte al veintinueve. Pueden recordarles que del veintiuno al veintinueve es una sola palabra y se escribe con "i". También hacerles hincapié que: Doscientos, trescientos y seiscientos se escriben con "sc". Si practicamos juntos en casa y la escuela ellos dominaran más fácilmente la escritura.
CONOCIMIENTO DEL MEDIO:
Aniversario de la Revolución Mexicana.
Les recuerdo que el lunes 16 de noviembre no habrá clases.
